Artistically and technically this is very good acting and editing. But, I still prefer the laughing, smiling, happy Joe Mc. I am always disturbed to grief when I see graphic violence...especially a young person.

@patpat: As best as I can tell, the battle for the soul of NZ You-Tube gossip has divided NZ into two warring camps. This comes after an admission, which may or may not be true, from PatrickBlog, that he was the infamous, faceless, rumor spreading Gossip Girl. The NZYTinsider now on the scene as a rival has a real face: that of Logiebear42. Joe claims to have sided with the Insider, but appears to have done so under extreme duress. Those having proclaimed themselves on the side of the still kicking GG call themselves Team Gossip Girl. Included are: storycorey, Jessums31, lukejtharriesblog, and TheNewZealandishBrit. Gossip has been the fuel for edginess among NZ tubers and influence of the winner of this war will have some significance. However, some of the past GG gossip has, at best, been a bit dodgy.
I'm terribly confused by this video. I don't follow your gossip wars. I have to say that it was very well done though. The acting was great and the production and makeup quality was superb.

Didn't realize this was staged and cuz I love your vlogs and posts -- hell, you make me want to move to NZ where ppl are actually mature -- this came as a shock. Don't think I've seen something as upsetting as Daniel Perle, so I guess that's credit to your acting and production which are always awesome anyways. As far as the gossip wars etc., I get it but I think it's sad cuz you, patrickblog, and others, all produce stuff that is amazing, beyond what I thought possible, and this thing over the tape is just stupid. Anyone familiar with American politics knows we all do stuff we wish we hadn't later, and it invariably winds up being recorded these days. Maybe you think that affects your rep but not with me, I really don't care cuz I've gotten to know you through youtube and you're just an amazing person in so many dimensions that I think you'll do just as you say, be amazing at life. Everything that happens seems bigger than it ends up being, no matter how bad. I would hate it if you stopped vlogging etc cuz you have a hell of a lot to offer the world.

I'm thinking of fronting my own effort from the States: NZviaUSAgossipMonster. Some people will tell a monster things they won't tell their own mother.
